## When to use Lightning Decision Jam

Use it when a team has discussed the same operational or product problem several times without reaching closure. It suits planning, delivery, service and cross-functional decisions where several perspectives matter and the group can influence the next action.

## The 80-minute format

### Round Robin: 20 minutes

Each participant contributes concrete problems, candidate fixes and action constraints. Turn-taking broadens collection before debate begins.

### Blind Vote: 10 minutes

Participants privately choose the options that best support clear next steps, using importance, confidence and usefulness as criteria. Votes appear together to reduce anchoring and hierarchy.

### How Might We: 25 minutes

The selected problems become opportunity questions that are specific enough to guide action and broad enough to permit several responses.

### Impact Effort Map: 25 minutes

The group compares candidate actions by expected impact and implementation effort, then identifies what to act on first. Selected actions leave with an owner and follow-up checkpoint.
