Why sprint plans keep changing

Think about our last three sprints. What specifically caused planned work to change or stall? Add one example, not a general complaint.
Mina
Responding to Round Robin
By Wednesday we’ve usually swapped two sprint items for ‘urgent’ sales requests, but nothing gets formally dropped.

Then engineering has six things half-done. Last sprint we carried nearly half the work over.

Some of those requests are tied to renewals, though. We can’t just ban changes once the sprint starts.
I’m hearing one recurring problem—new work arrives without an explicit trade—and one important constraint: some requests protect renewals. Is anything important missing? If not, I’ll carry both into the Blind Vote so you can choose which part to solve first.

When to use it

When the team has plenty of discussion but no clean decision.

Use it when a product, delivery or operations problem keeps returning without closure. It works best when several perspectives matter and the team can influence what happens next.

Bring a defined decision area, relevant examples and real constraints. The workshop exposes trade-offs; it should not be used to decorate a choice that has already been made.

  • Everyone contributes before debate begins
  • Private voting reduces hierarchy and anchoring
  • Problems become useful opportunity questions
  • Actions are compared by impact and effort
